What to Expect

Simple and Inviting

To make your first appointment, simply call us. We will discuss your needs and arrange a convenient booking time for your first session. Appointments are available face to face in our consultation rooms via telehealth and video conference. Our consultation rooms are an inviting environment which you will find comfortable. You can expect the greatest confidentiality, care, and effectiveness.


The strictest confidentiality will be kept. No information will be passed on to anyone else without your written consent. However, if the psychologist has good reasons to be concerned about your safety or that of another person, then your psychologist is required by law to provide that information to the relevant services.

Your first session
Duration: 50mins.

During your visits, you can expect to be treated with respect, understanding, compassion and dignity. We offer a non-judgemental and caring environment where our main goal is to seek find effective strategies to resolve your concerns.

Follow-up sessions
Duration: 50mins.

The number of sessions required is difficult to estimate and depends on the complexity, duration and severity of the problem. It may be as few as 1 or 2, or vary from 3 to 6 to lead to significant changes in one’s life. Appointments are generally made fortnightly and become less frequent as progress is made. Each individual has different needs, these are best discussed in your first session.

Fees & Rebates

Our fees are consistent with the industry standard. Fees will be discussed when making appointment. Payment on the day of consultation is required and can be paid by EFTPOS (including major credit cards) or cash. For online appointments, online payments are accepted.

Please note: A 24-hour cancellation policy applies to provide enough time for appointment to be filled by others who require assistance. A full fee will be charged if less than 24 hours is given or appointments are missed without notice.

Rebates for psychological services through Medicare are available if you meet the mental health criteria as determined by your doctor. For clients a total of 20 sessions per calendar year can be accessed with a Medicare rebate for each session.

A referral is not required unless you wish to claim from Medicare.

Private Health
Rebates are also provided by some health funds. Check your eligibility. We will issue you with a tax invoice to take to your health fund for claiming purposes.

WorkCover and Third Party
Psychological treatment for work-related injury or motor vehicle accident will be billed directly to the insurance company once approval has been obtained. A referral from your doctor and approval from the insurer is required.

Approaching a GP for a Mental Health Care Plan
Contact your local GP and ask the receptionist to book a consultation with your doctor to obtain a mental health care plan. These appointments can take longer than standard appointments with your GP.
